For non-US hotels, rates confirmed in USD may be converted to local currency by the hotel at your time of stay, based on the exchange rate used by the hotel and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Credit card charges are subject to additional currency conversions by banks or credit card companies, which are not within the hotel's control and may impact the amount charged to your credit card. Credit/Debit Card Policy
The credit card used to make a reservation must be valid for the entire stay. Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
If you are booking on behalf of someone else, or wish to pre-pay, you must fill in the third party billing and send it by fax at +39 055 2396097.
Please note that prepaid rates require a deposit with valid credit card that will be charged at time of booking. Failure of charges will generate a booking cancellation.
Upon check-in all guests must present a credit card. We do not provide cash advances on credit cards.
Based on the law 2011, No. 201, approved on 06.12.2011 by the Council of Ministers, we cannot accept payments in cash for amounts greater than or equal to 1.000,00€.
Corporate Rates Policy
Corporate rates are intended for business travel purposes only. A valid employee ID, business card, or company credit card is required at check-in. If proof of eligibility cannot be provided, the best available rate at the time of check-in will be applied to the reservation.
Check Acceptance Policy
No personal checks are accepted.
Gift Certificate Policy
Gift certificates can be redeemed at hotel. Reservations that use gift certificates as payment can only be made through the hotel. The original copy of the certificate will need to be presented to our reception desk upon arrival.
Age for Registration Policy
Guests 18 years of age and older may reserve rooms. Valid photo identification is required at check-in.
ID Requirement Policy
Upon check-in all guests must present a valid ID or passport. This information will be registered with the front desk and provided to the police.
Early Arrival Policy
We can only guarantee early check-ins for rooms reserved the prior night at the full rate.
Extra Bedding Policy
Extra beds are allowed in select Premium Deluxe Rooms and suites at the rate of 80€ per night. Only one extra bed is permitted per guest room.
Family Plan Policy
Children who are 12 or younger sleep for free in the existing bedding of a room shared with a paying adult. Rollaways, child rollaways and cribs may incur extra charges. Cribs are provided upon request. However, please note that guests will need to bring blankets, bumpers or pillows as they are not provided by the hotel.
Select Premium Deluxe Rooms have wheelchair-accessible doorways. Unfortunately, we do not have bathrooms fully equipped for disabled guests.
Connecting Room Policy
Connecting rooms are available in select guest rooms with Arno River views and suites. Please contact the hotel directly to make arrangements.
Late Checkout Policy
We will do our best to accommodate late checkout requests, subject to availability. A charge of 50% of the room rate will be applied for checkouts up to 8pm.
We can accommodate requests for both smoking and non-smoking guest rooms. Please note that smoking is not permitted in in the common areas inside the hotel, per Italian law.
We welcome pets at The Westin Excelsior, Florence. There is a maximum of one pet per room and a pet waiver must be signed at check-in. Pets are not allowed in public areas and should be looked after when passing through public areas. No charges are applied for pets, however guests will be responsible for any damage caused by their pets. For animals other than dogs or cats, please contact the hotel directly.
Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 18 years or older (with valid identification).
